The 62nd Annual Fine Arts Awards recognizes excellence in Classical Music, Jazz Music and Visual Arts. Applicants compete for 1st ($1,500) and 2nd ($1000) and 3rd ($500) place awards in each category.
Join us February 26, from 1-4pm for the live competition!
Our awards programs recognize the excellence in Music and Visual Arts of students in their junior and senior years of high school who reside in San Luis Obispo County. The goal is to honor, encourage and support students to expand their knowledge and talents in the Fine Arts. All junior and senior students are eligible to apply. Music and Visual Arts are judged by three professionals or experts who are recognized as highly qualified in their field of study.
Each category requires the submission of an online application and digital auditions or entries. Finalists are selected and musical competition performances and visual artwork presentations will be at The Monday Club on February 26, 2023 from 1-4pm.
Emmy Award winning videographer Robin Smith will create a video of the jazz and classical performances and the visual art work which will be available on YouTube and COETV. The video may be utilized by the students for college applications or other purposes.
