Meeting Program:

Howard Carroll and the Harold J. Miossi Charitable Trust

At the November meeting, we will learn about the Harold J. Miossi Charitable Trust and its legacy, through Trustee Howard Carroll. We will celebrate a life deeply rooted in this community and its history.  Howard was born at Mountain View Hospital in San Luis Obispo and began a lifetime shaped by local schools, local friendships, and a deep

sense of place. He graduated from the University of Santa Clara in 1970 with a degree in accounting and went on to build a career that touched nearly every corner of our region’s economy: public accounting, loan manager for Great Western Savings and Loan, serving as a commercial and industrial loan agent, farming Chardonnay wine grapes, overseeing a portfolio of residential and commercial properties, and serving as CFO of the international wine organization Hospice du Rhône for the past 26 years. For the last 15 years, he has also guided the Harold J. Miossi Charitable Trust, extending his impact even further into the community he loved.

But if you asked Howard what mattered most, he would not start with titles or résumés; he would start with family. He has been married to his wife Vicki for 43 years, and together they raised two terrific daughters, Erin and Shannon, who carry forward not only his name but his values and his commitment to this community.
